How Our Handmade Squishies Are Made
From a 3D printer and a bowl of foam clay to your backpack — a peek behind the studio door.
People ask us all the time: are these really handmade? Yes — every single one, made to order in our home studio. Here's the short version of how it happens.
Design. Layla sketches the shape and picks the colors and "flavor." For 3D-shell squishes, we model a hollow shell and print it in soft, flexible TPU on our little 3D printer.
Fill & sculpt. Clay squishes are hand-sculpted from foam clay over a soft core. Crunchy and gel squishes get their filling sealed inside a burst-resistant pouch — beads or a single gel mass — never loose.
Seal & finish. We skin and seal each piece with a flexible finish so it stays squeezable, add a charm or clip, and let it cure.
Check & pack. Every squish gets a squeeze-test to confirm there are no leaks, then it's labeled with its age grade and packed in our cutest recyclable packaging.
Because we make to order, there's less waste, more customization, and every squish is fresh. Want to design your own? Start with Build-Your-Own.
