Handmade squishies love a little TLC. Here's how to keep yours in top squish.

Keep it dry. Clay and foam squishes don't love water baths. Wipe them clean with a slightly damp cloth instead of soaking.

Gentle squeezes. Squish away — just avoid poking with fingernails or sharp objects, especially on sealed gel or crunchy styles where the seal matters.

Out of the sun. Long hours in direct sunlight or a hot car can fade colors and stiffen foam. A shelf or bag pocket is happier.

Store solo. Keep sealed-gel squishes away from sharp edges so the pouch stays intact.
